New York State increases spending on training for Nanotech workers
4 July 2008Nanotech workers in the Albany, New York region will get additional fund for training. A total sum of $981,000 has been provided by the state government for training of workers in major industries including nanotech, energy, health care and manufacturing.
State government has also provided fund of $430K for internship. In a similar way, the Labor Department also announced $26 million incentive for similar activities. The Labor Department also encourages the hiring of more employees from te eligible areas of the State by providing the federal tax credits to the employees.
State’s Labor Commissioner hopes that the increased state fund and federal tax credit benefits to employers would encourage employers to provide job opportunity to more younger people of the eligible areas and thus the additional fund and other steps will create more jobs for young and teenagers.
