Russia enhances Nanotech funding
1 August 2008Nanotechnology is one of the latest technology sectors after Information Technology and Biotechnology and countries throughout the world are enhancing their budget in this sector. Russia has recently announced many new nanotechnology initiatives to enhance funding in this vital sector.
Russia has started Nanotechnology Initiatives in the year 2007. Russia has equally focussed on the research in the area of Nanotechnology and commercialization of Nanotechnology. Research in the area of Nanotechnology is being coordinated by the Kurchator Institute and cooridation in Nanotechnology commercialization is done by Rosnanotechn Corporation of Russia.
Rosnanotech State Corporation of Russia will spend more than $4 billion to the nanotechnology research area during the next 4 years and $1 billion has been allocated for spending in modernization of scientific labs and equipments. So, the corporation will spend $5.5 billion on various programs during the next four years.
